Sparco Eagle 2.0 Racing Suit
The Sparco Eagle 2.0 Racing Suit is 30% thinner than previous generations and features Sparco's patented Hocotex material—a single-layer fabric that delivers the fire protection of a multi-layer suit. This innovative material makes the Eagle 2.0 three times more breathable than a traditional layered racing suit. Large side and back elastic panels combine with 360-degree floating arm gussets for unparalleled flexibility and comfort. Made with Eagle-Fabric, this stretch material is highly breathable and more abrasion-resistant than comparable stretch fabrics. Available in four vibrant color options, the Eagle 2.0 meets the latest FIA 8856-2018 homologation standards for premium track safety.
How does Hocotex work? Racing suits are traditionally constructed using layers of fabric sewn together with a quilted pattern. This quilting creates pockets of air between the layers that expand in a fire, providing thermal protection for the driver. Instead of traditional layers, Hocotex uses an advanced honeycomb structure with over 60,000 internal air cells, providing a 10% to 12% increase in heat protection. Compare this to the 300 quilted chambers found in a traditional racing suit, and the performance difference is clear!
