Achieve certified safety and affordability with the K1 Challenger SFI Racing Suit Jacket. Meeting strict SFI 3.2A/1 certification, this jacket is crafted from premium treated PROBAN® FR Cotton. It is the ideal protective choice for entry-level racers, pit crews, mechanics, and officials participating in racing series that do not require Nomex® or aramid fabrics. Perfect for dirt track and oval racing—including Midgets, Quarter Midgets, Sprint Cars, Legends, Bandoleros, and Thunder Roadsters—as well as sports car classes like SCCA Solo and ProSolo. Sold individually, it is also available as a one-piece race suit.

Please note: Unlike Nomex® and other aramid materials that are inherently flame-resistant, FR cotton is treated with a flame-retardant chemical that can lose efficacy over the course of the garment’s lifetime.

Material (PROBAN® Cotton):
FR Cotton, including its branded counterpart, Proban®, is a reliable flame-resistant material that provides consistent fire protection. While FR Cotton is treated with a flame-retardant chemical for initial resistance, this treatment may diminish over time with washing.

Certification: SFI 3.2A/1
Generally, single-layer suits have a Thermal Protection value of six. Suits rated to 3.2A/1 are tested for up to 6 seconds in simulated lab fires, offering approximately 3 seconds of fire protection against second-degree burns.
